A very special week ahead….

The week ahead really is rather special - we have the new moon in Gemini, the summer solstice and International Yoga Day.   But what do each of these events signify and how might they be relevant to you?

Gemini new moon

During the month the moon goes through a number of different phases; a new moon is what happens when it looks pretty much invisible from Earth.

In astrology, each new moon syncs up with a different zodiac sign for a certain ‘vibe’ that impacts what you think and how you act during this time.

The current new moon is in the sign of Gemini, and it’s also connected with Neptune, the planet of dreaming. The result being that you may spend time thinking about where you'd want to go in life if nothing held you back. Maybe you’ve always had the secret desire to start your own business, or would feel super accomplished if you learned another language. Just let your mind wander and think of all the possibilities...

Summer solstice

"Solstice" means sun and standing still, as derived from the Latin words Sol+systere.  It is the day when the sun is at its highest in the sky, making it the longest day of the year,

The summer solstice signifies new beginnings, prosperity, good spirits, and personal awakening. All of these things are amazing, transformational, and offer us opportunities to connect more with ourselves and with nature.

International Day of Yoga

International Yoga Day on June 21, celebrates the ancient practice of yoga and its global significance. Established by the United Nations, this day aims to raise awareness about the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of practising yoga.

With millions of people around the world participating in various yoga activities and events, International Yoga Day serves as a reminder of the universal appeal and transformative power of this ancient practice.

Yoga has certainly been life changing for me. After consistently practicing yoga for the last decade I have witnessed the huge shift in my mental clarity, flexibility, and physical strength. And while each practice is different, showing up to my mat offers me a chance to turn my attention inward, allowing me to create positive changes in my life off the mat too.
